A recognized player in the design and manufacturing of vehicles and equipment for waste transport and handling, the Belgian company recently called upon OTEXIO's expertise to equip several of its containers. The objective? Ensure load safety during transport, while maintaining regulatory compliance and optimal operational efficiency.
The company, based in Belgium, has been designing containers, compactors, and waste systems for over 50 years, targeting sectors such as recycling, construction, and local authorities. Known for its high standards of quality and durability, our client meets demanding technical specifications, especially for customers transporting heterogeneous waste: wood, rubble, bulky items, mixed waste, etc.
In this context, one of their clients managing a fleet of containers expressed the need for a robust frame-type cover system, easy to handle and capable of withstanding variable loading conditions, while preventing waste from escaping during transport.
OTEXIO proposed a solution adapted to the client’s constraints: custom frame nettings made from NETLINE®SUP technical textile, a net developed and recognized for industrial applications exposed to weather, abrasion, and frequent mechanical stress.
Each net was designed to match the precise dimensions of the containers provided by the client, allowing quick setup, excellent tension, and long-lasting resistance to traction forces. Thanks to the reinforced structure of the NETLINE®SUP, made from 190g/m² woven micromesh, the nets ensure optimal hold, even when transporting bulky or irregularly shaped waste.
These types of frame nettings can also be manufactured and installed on FMA (moving floor) containers. The ability to create custom-made products based on the equipment’s features and client requirements is part of the OTEXIO service.
After an initial phase of field testing on several containers, the Belgian company was able to confirm the reliability of the proposed nets, both in terms of hold and ease of use. The feedback was very positive, also from a cost-performance perspective. As a result, our client ordered over 100 frame nettings and 25 traditional container nets.
This collaboration confirms OTEXIO’s ability to design and manufacture custom textile solutions that meet the specific needs of manufacturers of containers and waste collection equipment, in France and internationally.
