PAPREC - Safecover® Nets

The Paprec Group is a waste collection and recycling company. Founded in 1995, it has become an essential reference in environmental services, present in all aspects of recycling and waste management.

Our SafeCover® based-ground covering system provides a secured way to cover and uncover containers safely. It features a removable bracket with a roller and a handling pole that make the installation and handling of the net and elastic easy. This system has been patented in France since 2003 and in Europe since 2004.

What was the issue ? The weight of SafeCover® nets during system use.

To improve productivity and provide comfort for drivers, PAPREC contacted us to address their challenge with the weight of the nets when using the SafeCover® system.

We then suggested they try our new LiteCover® net.

The traditional fabric used for crafting SafeCover® is our superior quality woven micro-mesh net. Our new lightweight LiteCover® net is made from our new woven micro-mesh fabric composed of PES. It offers a 40% weight reduction compared to the traditional high-quality SafeCover® (225g/m² for an 8m x 3.3m net).

A driver at Paprec Group tested this new version and shared the experienced benefits:

• Lightness of the net: From 10 kg (for our superior quality in dimensions 7.50m x 3.3m) to 6 kg.
• Strong resistance to tear propagation: It's suitable for all types of waste, including iron and wood.
• Easy folding: It retains fold marks.
• Space-saving for storage in the trunk: the net is much less bulky, making it easier to store.

Following this successful test, we conducted trials of LiteCover® on different Paprec Group sites across France, and now, this new net is the preferred choice for the majority of drivers.
